Files & Documents

Mothership can read uploaded files, create new workspace files, edit existing files, generate charts and images, and save outputs so they are available to workflows and future chats.

Uploading Files

Attach a file to a message by dragging it into the input, pasting it, or using the attachment button.

Use attachments to:

• Summarize or extract data from a PDF
• Turn a CSV into a table
• Add a document to a knowledge base
• Use an image as reference material

Uploaded files are saved to the workspace and can be opened from the resource panel.

Creating and Editing Documents

Mothership can create or edit text-based files such as Markdown, CSV, JSON, HTML, scripts, and plain text:

• "Write a technical spec for the auth refactor as a markdown file"
• "Create a CSV of test accounts with name, email, and plan columns"
• "Update the pricing section in this file"
• "Refactor this script to use async/await"

Presentations

Mothership can generate .pptx files:

• "Create an 8-slide Q3 review deck"
• "Turn this research report into a 10-slide presentation"
• "Build a battle card deck for our top three competitors"

Generated presentations are saved as workspace files and can be downloaded.

Images, Charts, and Visualizations

Mothership can generate images and charts from prompts or referenced data:

• "Generate a diagram showing the data flow through the webhook pipeline"
• "Create a bar chart from the run-count metrics in this table"
• "Make a social card for this launch post"

For data processing, it can also run calculations, parse JSON, deduplicate lists, convert formats, and save results as files.
