Research
Ask Mothership to search, read, and synthesize information from the web.
Mothership can research public information in real time. It can search the web, read specific pages, scrape content, crawl sites, compare sources, and save the result as a workspace file.
Asking Questions
Ask about companies, competitors, markets, technical docs, public APIs, or a specific URL:
- "What did our top three competitors ship in the past 30 days?"
- "Read this changelog and summarize what changed"
- "What are the current rate limits for the Anthropic API?"
- "Find the main players in AI revenue operations and how they differentiate"
For short answers, Mothership responds directly in chat. For longer work, ask it to save the output as a report.
Research Reports
Mothership can create structured research files in your workspace:
- "Research the top 10 AI SDR tools: pricing, positioning, strengths, and weaknesses. Save it as a competitive analysis."
- "Build a battle card for Acme Corp with positioning, pricing, objections, and how we win."
- "Research every public case study on AI agents in financial compliance from the past two years and save a markdown report."
Reports open in the resource panel and can be referenced by future chats, workflows, or knowledge bases.
Using Research in Workflows
Ask Mothership to turn research into an automation:
- "Build a workflow that checks competitor changelogs every Monday and writes a digest"
- "Create a daily market-intel job that searches for funding announcements and posts the top five to Slack"
- "Save this research as a knowledge base and attach it to the sales assistant workflow"
Common Questions
Yes. Mothership can use live web search and page reading for current public information.
No. It can only read publicly accessible pages unless the data is available through an integration you have connected.
Reports are saved as workspace files and opened in the resource panel.
